Marci Marie Simmons

Marci Marie is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Lioness Justice Impacted Women’s Alliance. She leverages her extensive experience and platform as a social media influencer with over 280k followers on TikTok and as the co-host of “On the Rec Yard: Women’s Prison Podcast” to advocate for criminal justice reform. Having survived 10 years in a Texas prison, Marci uses her voice to educate the public about the realities of incarceration, focusing on the unique challenges faced by women in prison.

Marci met her wife while incarcerated, and their journey together exemplifies resilience and love in the face of adversity. Known for her joyful disposition and openness, Marci prioritizes healing within her family and community while advocating for those most affected by the criminal justice system.

Marci’s work extends to serving on the board of The Second Chancer Foundation, where she continues to support formerly incarcerated individuals.
