Autumn Mason
Autumn Mason is a Certified Doula and Peer Support Professional with a focus on supporting families impacted by the Criminal Justice system. She is dedicated to educating, advocating for, and empowering justice-involved families, helping them navigate their experiences and create healthier, more equitable opportunities for growth and success.
Autumn's journey into this work was deeply personal, born from her own experiences with the trauma of incarceration, family separation, and prison birth. Her passion for justice and healing led her to collaborate with various local corrections and community organizations, including the Minnesota Department of Corrections, the Minnesota Second Chance Coalition, and the Ramsey County Reducing Revocations Advisory Committee. Recently, she was appointed as the chair for the Task Force for Justice-Involved Women and Girls.
In addition to her hands-on work with families, Autumn has been involved in policy advocacy. She testified before the Minnesota Legislature in 2014 in support of the Anti-Shackling Bill and was instrumental in the passage of the Healthy Start Act in May 2021.
Autumn holds certifications in Peer Recovery Support, Harm Reduction, PREA Sexual Trauma, and Lactation. She is also a trained public speaker, social change advocate, certified Life Coach, and Family Trauma Professional. As a proud mother of four children and two fur babies, Autumn is committed to creating lasting, positive change for families impacted by the criminal justice system.
